Quincy Point Christmas Village:
a tradition started as a tribute
The Quincy Point Christmas Village started as a small village on top of a dining room table 11 years ago. My mom had displayed the buildings in her living room, but during her fight with cancer, she couldn't put it up anymore, and gave them to me. After she passed, I decided to expand the village, and over the years, it has grown, and grown...and grown even more. This village is my Mom's gift to the community she never knew, and when we create the village each year, it's her heart that makes all the buildings glow.
A couple years ago, I became dedicated the idea of making the village viewable to everyone from outside the house. Some makeshift stairs helped folks come up and see the village up close for the first time. This year, we have a front porch so you can come up and see the village up close, and to celebrate, we are doing 2 villages, one in each window. We absolutely encourage folks to park their car, come up to our front porch and look at the village up close
